Emergency medical crews, including London’s Air Ambulance, attended the scene and treated victims before they were transported for further medical care. (

The incident triggered a substantial police presence around Bromley High Street, with large parts of the area cordoned off while officers worked to secure the scene and gather evidence. Forensic investigators were also reported to be examining the area.

Witnesses described chaotic scenes as people ran from the area during the confrontation. Reports indicated that the disturbance began inside the KFC before continuing outside and into a nearby alleyway close to the Glades shopping centre.

The emergency response caused significant disruption in the busy town centre. Parts of Bromley High Street were closed, affecting local traffic and public transport, with reports indicating that numerous bus routes were disrupted while police dealt with the incident.

Despite the severity of the attack, police have said there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the wider public. Officers have urged people to avoid the immediate area while the investigation continues.

Detectives are now working to establish exactly how the confrontation began and what happened before the stabbing. CCTV footage, witness accounts and other evidence from the scene are expected to form part of the investigation.

The seven arrests represent an early development in the case, but police have not yet released the identities of those detained or announced charges. The investigation remains active.
